The unique character of the luxury coastal cottage extends to the grounds, in all, approximately 8 acres. The informal gardens were once open to the public – such is the variety and rarity of the trees and shrubs that enjoy this special Pembrokeshire microclimate. Pathways meander through the rockeries, shrubberies and woodland, leading you down to the water’s edge – taking the left pathway down to boathouse, or the right pathway down to the beach.

Our new boathouse sits just above the private jetty and boasts heating to help warm you up after water skiing, a Smeg Fridge to keep your drinks cold, and a zoned music system and iPod dock to keep you entertained. Boats navigating their way to and from the Haven, up and down the Cleddau estuary use the Four Ashes jetty as a landmark. It’s a great place for a bar-b-q, to jump in for a swim at high tide or just sit and watch the boats pass by! We can also help arrange boat hire (with pick up from your very own private quay) so that you can explore the waterway and the many pubs on its banks, or even try water skiing or knee boarding. From the lower garden terrace, take the wooden steps down to the private beach for a picnic and to enjoy the Pembrokeshire coast from water level.

Head up from the house, across the lawn and the rose garden, past the sun terrace and the cleverly positioned, elevated summer house (the perfect place for a glass of wine, to watch the sun go down) and you find the kitchen garden, the tennis court and its quaint pavilion. The four acre paddock which is bounded by the driveway, is a great place for dogs to run, and they will love exploring the extensive footpaths that lead from the property in either direction along the estuary. The Pembrokeshire Coastal path runs alongside the paddock. Dog friendly in every sense – we challenge you to run out of great walks to tire your four legged friends!

If the weather is right – outside dining is a must. The terrace boasts a super large table and chairs.

There is plenty of parking for both the luxury coastal cottages – an unloading area right next to the house, and a designated car parking areas just a few yards away at the bottom of the private drive.
